Under the direction of Guillaume Brie and Jean-Philippe Mayol. Interdisciplinary Center for Applied Research in the Penitentiary Field, 2021.
The thematic file questions the transition from the notion of dynamic security to its concept, then from the concept to its policy, that is to say to a vision of security in detention in addition to the more classic and usual practices contained on security “passive” and “active” safety. More specifically, by tightening the definition of dynamic security through analyses, the group of authors manages to design a security policy based both on practices of transforming social detention relations into but also on the idea that the security can be the product of co-production between prison staff and the inmates. In this perspective, tools and devices are thus identified and presented through the prism of the definition by making a distinction between actions that produce security and actions that are more relevant to a security dimension. Finally, testimonials from professionals complete the file based on the sharing of their experience around dynamic security.
